Hefei, China — July 1, 2025 — Soma Package Ltd. has announced a strategic partnership program inviting American retailers to join a circular-economy pilot featuring mailers made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) + degradable hybrid film.

Each bag contains 40 % PCR resin blended with a proprietary degradable additive, allowing it to be mechanically recycled up to three times or composted at end-of-life. Vibrant branding is achieved through Heidelberg 12-color full-bleed printing with plant-based pigments, eliminating mineral oil and phthalates.

Participants receive full OEM/ODM customization—size, gusset style, hanger holes, matte or gloss finishes—guided by Soma’s veteran engineering team. The factory operates under ISO9001 protocols and Six Sigma analytics, providing batch-level traceability and a documented defect rate below 0.2 %.

“Our goal is to create packaging that doesn’t choose between recycling and biodegradation,” said CEO Li Wei. Early adopters include a New York cosmetics subscription box, which projects a 35 % reduction in virgin plastic use and an 18-month payback through lower Extended Producer Responsibility fees.

Brands that join the pilot will gain access to Soma’s LCA dashboards, marketing collateral, and U.S.-based reverse-logistics partners. Enrollment is open until September 30, 2025, with commercial production slots available for Spring 2026 launches.
